DSI Director General Prof. Eroglu became the Minister of Environment and Forestry in Turkey

Prof. Dr. Veysel EROGLU is nominated new minister of Environment and Forestry in the new government of Turkey, and now DSI is under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment. After being the academic member of the Environmental Department in Istanbul Technical University, Prof. Dr.  Veysel EROGLU has acted as the Director General of State Hydraulic Works since the year of 2003. Prof. Dr. Veysel Eroglu was the Director General of ISKI before his appointment to General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSI). After he became in charge of ISKI they found solutions against  Istanbul's water shortage problems prevailing for years. Prof. Dr. EROGLU had spent big efforts to solve the water related problems in Istanbul. Being the Director General of State Hydraulic Works, he is in a position now to be able to solve the problems and to improve the water issues around the Country.
