URL Flow the Film - Documentary on Global Water Crisis in Theaters

Flow the Film documents the global water crisis, from how a few corporations took control of global water supplies, to how we are quickly running out of water, ultimately asking the question "Can Anyone Really Own Water?". The documentary contains interviews with scientists and community activists, as well as beautifully captures the role that water plays in each of our lives.

Wired Magazine called Flow "the scariest movie at the Sundance Festival". The movie delves into the world's water crisis, focusing on politics, pollution, human rights, and the big business approach to our precious natural resource. This award-winning documentary takes a hard look at water as a $425 billion a year industry.

News Launch of The World's Water 2008-2009 (VIDEO)

Bringing clean water and improved sanitation to the billions who lack them is "not a question of money, it's not a question of technology, it's a question of governance, of commitment, will*all of those things. And that, in many ways, is the worst part of the world's water crisis," said Peter Gleick, president of the Pacific Institute, at the February 4, 2009, launch of "The World's Water 2008-2009: The Biennial Report on Freshwater Resources" at the Woodrow Wilson Center: http://tinyurl.com/cgwnb6

"The concept of 'peak water' is very analogous to peak oil...we're using fossil groundwater. That is, we're pumping groundwater faster than nature naturally recharges it," says Peter Gleick in this short expert analysis from the Environmental Change and Security Program:

URL Zer0-M Video, broadcasting by BBC World: “Waste not Waste” Every day a flushtoilet sends 27 litres of precious drinking water down the drain. Scientists are urgently seeking less wasteful sanitation techniques. Earth Report visits Morocco and Tunisia where water is scarce and human waste management a top priority. In Germany waterless urinals and dry toilets are being developed. The Dutch have invented a device that fills compost bags with human waste, right there in your toilet.
