Project Crystallisation technologies for prevention of salt water intrusion

Multidisciplinary investigations including aspects of both basic and applied research will be carried out, to develop and test a new technology to reduce or prevent salt water intrusion into fresh water aquifers. Artificially induced crystallisation processes within soil or rock formations shall be used to form barriers preventing saline water intrusion.
