Event Global Leakage Summit 2008

As fellow water loss professionals and practitioners I am sure that you will be interested to hear news of the 2008 Global Leakage Summit, taking place in London this June!  This is now an established event for bringing together international utility practitioners and specialists to debate the challenges and to share the solutions from pratical case studies. One of the key themes of this year’s Summit is to address the management of change in utilities to improve efficiency and performance.  Keynote speakers representing utilities like Aguas do Porto, Bahamas WSC, Rand Water, SAJH Johor and  Severn Trent Water - who have all demonstrated success from addressing change - will present their results.

We are delighted to announce the support of several major players in the global water industry. Our Lead Conference Sponsor is flow meter and instrumentation manufacturer ABB, while co-sponsors Miya, the water business of the Arison Business Group, Primayer, the international supplier of leakage monitoring and detection equipment, and Hydrosave, one of the leading water management specialists, have also joined the Summit.

The networking area, where all lunches, breaks and the evening drinks reception will be hosted, is also filling up fast.  As well as our sponsors, other companies who have joined us as exhibitors include Bermad, Dorot, Halma, Pure Technologies, Seba KMT, Ultrac and Wallingford Software   Last year's exhibitors were glowing with their praise of this 'unique leakage event, with focused speakers and delegates who were genuinely interested in discussing the products'!

RPS Water, the water services arm of the RPS Group, is sponsoring and organising the Pre-Conference Workshop on 16 June - keep an eye on the bulletin board on the Summit website - www.global-leakage-summit.com - for details of the workshop programme, and other news items, as they are announced.

Of course, a conference is only as good as its speakers - and we have great line up of speakers for the 2008 Summit!  Senior level utility practitioners, UK and international, will demonstrate, by means of debate and discussion, and by more than 20 unique case study presentations, the successes and efficiencies brought about by change at their own utilities:  The programme is now available as a pdf download on the website, but the line-up of speakers includes:
