Optimization of the instruments of idrometerologica forecast
- Hydroptimet "implemented an operational hydrometeorological chain making
it possible to evaluate the conditions of hydro-geological risk. The project
allowed the application in real time of instruments and methodologies commun
runs hitherto insulated in the working method and of research. Operational
coordination between the various structures ensured a speed of information,
the advisability of carrying out scientific deepenings, and the creation of
vaster products of information.
- A greater attention and a better coordinated management were given to the
transborder and transnational basins in order to face common weather
problems together. The project also allowed a valorization of the local
inheritance (with the extension of the people and the implied
organizations), and an operational application of scientific methodologies
on wider territories and vaster problems so that they can be used as
reference.

Objectives | - "HYDROPTIMET" is interested in the forecast and the prevention of the natural risks, with a reference particular to the risks due to intense hydrometeorological phenomena. The project envisages activities concerning hydrology and meteorology, in the phases of knowledge of these phenomena, the capacity of forecast of those and the evaluation of their impact on the territory. The activities will be spread by holding account of the various space and temporal scales characteristic of the phenomena which one wishes to simulate or envisage. The approach is based on the recorded data, the use of the digital models and the statistical techniques, used according to modes and influences' different. | ||
