News WATER INTERNATIONAL - ABSTRACTS WANTED! Call for contributions

The International Water Resources Association (IWRA) and the International Network of Basin Organizations (INBO)  launched a call for contribution to the Water International Special Issue on Water management in Basins of rivers, lakes and aquifers: the challenges ahead after 30 years of innovation. The main topics are:
•    Governance including but not limited to institutional organization (human resources, capacities), functions and operation, legal and institutional frameworks, and conventions or agreements.
•    Financing of water basin management, including but not limited to “user-polluter / pays tax”, public-private partnership, and payment for environmental services.
•    Water information systems and monitoring at basin level (surface water and  aquifers), such as hydrometeorology, remote sensing and spatial data, new technologies for advanced basin management, climate change monitoring, flood warning, wetlands and biodiversity, water-forests links, water quality.
•    Strategy and actions planning and implementation in basins, such as basin analysis, planning tools for equity in water allocation, master plan definition, investments program, nature based solutions and “green infrastructures”, transboundary cooperation, implementation and follow-up, climate change adaptation, water-related risks, and stakeholders’ participation (civil society / citizen involvement). 

Abstracts (300 words IN ENGLISH) can be submitted to Christophe BRACHET (c.brachet@oieau.fr) and Marjorie LUPI (m.lupi@inbo-news.org) by 15 March 2023. Submission should include the type of paper ("Review and Research" articles or "Case study"), the title of the paper, as well as the name, surname, and email address of the author(s). File name should be "YOURNAME_Water International". Author(s) whose abstract will be accepted will be required to submit a full manuscript following Water international’s guidelines.
