The APFM promotes the concept of Integrated Flood Management (IFM)
WMO/GWP Associated Programme on Flood Management (APFM) promotes the concept of Integrated Flood Management (IFM). IFM integrates land and water resources development in a river basin, within the context of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), with a view to maximizing the efficient use of floodplains and minimizing loss to life. APFM has just published its 10th newsletter issue which deals with various topics related to IFM.
