End of SaltGae project: main results and technical achievements of the project

After 40 intense months of activities and different tests from the laboratory through piloting, SaltGae project comes to an end.

The SaltGae project provides a simpler and economically sustainable solution to treat saline waters with high organic load, such as, for example, the effluents of the Food and Drink industry; using a combination of different technologies for the removal of pollutants and their recovery. Three demo sites have been built up in different locations (Israel, Italy and Slovenia) with different climatic conditions and origins for the wastewater to be treated, which allows confirming its versatility, thanks to SaltGae modular design.
