The Fair includes all the events listed below, which are open to any participant of the May Session.

  • Special Event on Innovation and Climate Change: The Technology Executive Committee is holding a special event on "How technological innovation can support the implementation of nationally determined contributions and mid-century strategies". It will take place on 12 May in Room Nairobi. The event agenda may be found at: http://unfccc.int/ttclear/events/2017_event2.

  • Side Events: The side-events and exhibitions organized by UNFCCC bodies and observers will be clustered, which will allow interested stakeholders to easily find relevant information and identify experts, interested audience and initiatives related to these topics. The list, with date and venue, of the side events  may be found at: http://unfccc.int/meetings/bonn_may_2017/items/10083.php.
  • Climate Change Studio: this interactive open space will host:

o   Climate Action Dialogues: A dialogue series will be hosted on 11-15 May to showcase climate solutions by non-Party stakeholders such as the business sector and cities and/or support provided to Parties by the UNFCCC institutions and international organizations.

o   SDG Action Talks: Short talks from experts, business leaders and activists from a diverse range of regions, areas and sectors who are implementing the SDGs successfully and acting to make sure the goals are achieved by 2030. The SDG Action Talks are sources for inspiration, to find good examples of what works, to develop ways to replicate them in new directions and to open the discussion around how to achieve this very challenging agenda.

  • The Fair Goes On-line: Production and distribution of online content, including video, to amplify messaging coming out of the Climate Action Fair. The secretariat will leverage its existing partnerships with non-Party stakeholders, the larger UN system and its main digital channels such as the UNFCCC Newsroom and social media channels.
