Jordan: Task leader for component - Advisor on groundwater management and stakeholders participation

Most important tasks/functions to be carried out in the position:

• Supporting in managing Component 2 in close cooperation with the EU-GIZ delegated cooperation  manager, and resource persons of the component
• Ensuring the development and capacity building of  the newly established Yarmouk River Basin Committee (RBC)
• Ensuring the quality of the activities  tailored  to towards building the capacities and anchoring Yarmouk River Basin Committee
• Supervising process of  developing scientific  tools for MoWI technical staff (WEAP-MODFLOW and MYWAS)
• Ensuring close cooperation with the German-Jordanian Data and Information Management and the Highland Water Forum initiative
• Contributes in formulating ToRs for the short and long terms consultants needed for the implementation of the activities for component 2
• Organizes and supervises jour fix meetings with Ministry staff for the development of Models and establishment of Yarmouk Basin Committee
• Supporting in work progress monitoring for the entire component 2
