Call for abstracts for the 1st Inter-Regional Conference on Land and Water Challenges

The Conference will be held in
The main objective is to present and discuss the latest achievements in the field of sustainable use of natural resources (land and water) at different scales and to promote a better development of agriculture in the future.

- Water use performance and water productivity
- Conservation agriculture and water saving
- Sustainability of groundwater exploitation for agriculture
- Decision support systems and modelling tools
- Innovative data-acquisition and information and communication technologies
- Irrigation technologies and management practices for environmental upgrading
- Use of treated and low quality water in agriculture
- Climate change: adaptation and mitigation
- Drought risk management
- Socio-economic aspects of land and water management
- Policies, governance and institutional development.
Abstract & papers submission:
The deadline for the submission of abstracts is March 31, 2013.
The confirmation of the abstract acceptance is due May 15, 2013.
The deadline for the submission of full papers is August 15, 2013.
The accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference Book of Abstracts whereas the full papers will be published in electronic format of Conference Proceedings.
Selected papers will be submitted for a Special Issue of a peer review International Journal. The abstracts and full papers will not be published if at least one of authors is not registered for the Conference.
