News Producing docu-mags for a sustainable Mediterranean: EU project Joussour launched in Tunis

The EU project “Joussour”, funded under the ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme and managed by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia (Italy), held its launching conference on 16 December 2011 in Tunis. 

JOUSSOUR, funded with a budget of €497,044, is an innovative project which will undertake the co-production of 12 docu-mags realized by young professionals and aimed at encouraging their mobility as well as the exchange of knowhow within the Euro-Mediterranean region. 

The series will be conceived for television and the web and will aim at strengthening audiovisual cooperation as well as informing the general public about the environmental challenges in the Mediterranean cross-border regions. This multicultural project is coordinated by the Permanent Conference of the Mediterranean Audiovisual Operators (COPEAM) as project leader and gathers the following partners: 

• ASBU - Arab States Broadcasting Union (Tunisia)  

• PBS - Public Broadcasting Services Ltd (Malta)  

• RAI-Radiotelevisione Italiana / RAI Educational

• EBU – European Broadcasting Union (Associated partner) 

The ‘ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2007/2013’ is a multilateral cross-border cooperation programme co-financed by the EU under the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument.
