News ENPI CBC MED: Second call for standard projects launched

The "ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2007/2013" is a multilateral cross-border cooperation programme co-financed by the European Union under the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI).

The Programme provides the framework for the implementation of cross-border and cooperation activities in the context of the European Neighbourhood Policy, complementing efforts exerted within the framework of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership, with the final aim of developing an area of peace, stability, prosperity and good neighbourliness involving EU Mediterranean Countries (EUMC) and Mediterranean Partner Countries (MPC).

The Joint Managing Authority is pleased to announce that the second call for standard projects is now officially open. 

€ 56,5 million are available for cross-border cooperation projects addressing the 4 Programme Priorities and 10 related Measures.

The second call for standard projects is a two-stage procedure: 
1. In a first instance, Applicants shall submit a Concept Note; 
2. Only the projects preselected following the evaluation of the Concept Notes will be invited to submit a Full Application Form. 

The deadline for sending the Concept Notes is 29th February 2012.

Projects’ budget:            0,5 to 2 MEuros (EC contribution up to 90%)
                                               50% of costs must be spent in non EU countries
                                               35% max for a partner

Partnership:      Minimum 3 countries at least   1 EU and 1 non UE
Maximum recommended 7 (incl. leader)

Limitation to participation: The same organisation can participate only once as Applicant (leader) under each Priority. No limitation applies for the participation at partner level .

Procedure: restricted in 2 phases (only preselected projects on the basis of a concept note will submit a full proposal)

Priorities:

Duration of projects: The planned duration of a project must be between 18 and 24 months.   

Overall budget for this call: 56,5 MEuros  (maybe 15% increase):

Time table

  • The deadline for the submission of Concept Notes (T0) is 29th February 2012 (date of dispatch)
  • List of selected Concept notes, call for full proposals: mid-October 2012 (T0 + 150 days)
  • Deadline for submitting full proposals: mid December 2012
  • Decision on selected projects: End June 2013
  • Start of projects Autumn 2013
