Registration now open for: HYDRO 2011 - Practical Solutions for a Sustainable Future Prague

HYDRO 2011 promises to be the most international event of the year for the hydropower profession, with all the major hydropower developers, financiers and engineering companies present.  As always, a strong emphasis will be on helping the less developed countries achieve their development goals, and on helping industrialized countries to maximize the benefits of their hydro plants.

 Panel discussions will take place on topics such as: the potential of Grand Inga in DR Congo; capacity building needs; enhancing the image of hydro; ensuring that governments get the most from their hydro assets; and, the safety of high-hazard structures (how do dams compare with oil rigs, nuclear power stations, etc.?).  These will complement paper presentations on a broad range of key issues.  More than 200 papers, published on CD, will give all participants a valuable concentration of knowledge and expertise to take home.
