Algeria: Two planning instruments set up for water resources

ALGIERS- The leading plan of water resources development and the national plan on water examined on Wednesday by Council of Ministers envisage the setting up of two planning instruments to guarantee the sector long-term development.

The leading plans of water resources development works in the areas of the five agencies de of the already-existing hydrographical basins. While the national plan on water is based on a consolidation and validation process of water resources development strategies, including transfers among hydrographical basins, and integrating the actions and measures likely to secure sustainable management of water and hydraulic facilities.
