News Post-doc position – 12 months: "Which scenarios for water management: an analysis from literature review and interviews"

This post-doc is part of MAELIA project which gathers 4 research entities of Toulouse : LMTG , IRIT , MSHS-T (and its components) and AGIR .
The MAELIA project (Multi-Agent for Environmental Norms Impact Assessment) consists in modelling socio-environnement al impacts of norms elaborated for managing and governing natural resources and environment ( cf. http://www.lmtg.obs-mip.fr/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=163 et http://www.iaai-maelia.eu/ ).
It is funded by the RTRA STAE (2009-2012) and by participating research entities.

The work will follow two main steps :

1. Literature review : Designing and implementing a framework for analysing scenario approaches and prospectives dealing with water management from local to global scales.
• Collecting scientific and "grey" literature
• Building a framework allowing a comparative analysis of existing scenarios
• Identifying water management stakes that have been objects of prospectives, with a particular attention to the "water scarcity" stake.
• Identifying driving forces of scenarios
• Identifying entities initiating, and/or using the results of these prospectives
• Identifying et sorting the methods used (analysing the participative dimension, the tools used, the indicators used, etc.)
• Analysing the link between stakes / spatial extent / users / methods

A special attention will be put on the problems of water scarcity. This analysis will give rise to a scientific paper.

2. Field work : Building water management scenarios with local actors of water management and analysing their needs in scenario analysis tools
