Policy Analyst - Environment and Sustainable Development
The OECD's Development Co-operation Directorate (DCD) is the Secretariat for the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) which is the international forum where bilateral donors, along with key multilateral donors, work together to help developing countries reduce poverty and achieve the Millennium Development Goals. The DCD assists the DAC in carrying out its mandate to help increase financing for development and improve the quality and effectiveness of development co-operation.
They are looking for a Policy Analyst who will work as a team member of the Unit responsible for environment and sustainable development within the Policy Co-ordination Division. This Unit supports the work of the DAC Network on Environment and Development Co-operation (ENVIRONET).
The work of the Unit covers a wide range of
activities: Strategic Environmental Assessment, natural resources
management and low carbon growth, climate change and development, and
capacity development for environmental management. A large share of
this work is conducted jointly with the OECD Environment Directorate
and the Environment Policy Committee.
The Policy Analyst
will help deliver key outputs of the work programme. S/He will report
to the Head of Unit in the Policy Co-ordination Division (POL) of the
Development Co-operation Directorate (DCD).
