1st Annual Progress Review Meeting of APWF Knowledge Hubs
APWF Knowledge Hubs is one of the
APWF concrete intiatives announced at 1st Asia-Pacific Water Summit in December
2007 and launched in June 2008. The Knowledge Hubs comprise of a regional
network for sharing water-related knowledge and experience. The first Annual
Progress Review Meeting of the APWF Knowledge Hubs was held to mark a year since
the launch of the initiative. Two Japanese organizations were endorsed as new
Knowledge Hubs: the Institute for Global Environment Strategies (IGES), for
groundwater management, and the Japan Sanitation Consortium, for sanitation.
