News Programme Officer (Grants Management) No. 3 (P3), WSSCC, Switzerland [deadline 18 Sep 2009]

The post at the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC) will manage sanitation and hygiene grants to country programmes while taking special responsibility for the Global Sanitation Fund monitoring and learning agenda.

Duty station: Geneva, Switzerland
Contract duration: 2 years

Requirements include:

  • Advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent), with research component, in public health, social science, international development, social development or similar relevant field of study is essential;
  • A Bachelors Degree, or other qualifications, in combination with additional and substantial years of professional experience in a directly related field may be accepted in lieu of advanced degree;
  • For a Masters Degree at least 5 years, and for a Bachelors Degree at least 7 years experience in development programmes and project management, with a strong monitoring and evaluation component is essential;
  • At least 3 years practical experience in the water, sanitation and hygiene sector is essential
  • Excellent reading, writing and spoken English is essential.
