There is a job opportunity, for a short term assignment for a FWC contract: Formulation mission of the project: Water Loss Reduction in Zarqua - Managing Jordan scarce water resources in areas of large concentration of Iraqi refugees
The formulation mission team will be composed of one water infrastructure expert, who should have the following profile:
Water infrastructure expert:
- At least 10 years of experience (Category II) on advising and supporting water infrastructure related projects, including specifically water network design.
- Preferably a master degree in Civil Engineering with specialisation in hydraulic engineering,
- Proven skills in the EC project formulation, including Financing Agreement, Project Cycle Management (PCM) and logical framework.
- Experience in working in cooperation with water sector institutions in the Middle East countries or similar context.
- Relevant work experience in this sector in Jordan will be an asset.
- Fluency in English is a must. Knowledge of Arabic would be a strong asset.
- The expert may be of any nationality.
The assignment will start on 18 January 2009 and will end on 19 February 2009. During this period, a total amount of 29 working days should be delivered by the consultant. The expert is expected to work 6 days per week
Note that English is the required language and the deadline for submission is 17th December 2008.
