The Mekong River Commission (MRC) was established by the Governments of Cambodia, Lao
PDR, Thailand and Viet Nam, with the signing of the 1995 Agreement on the Cooperation for the
Sustainable Development of the Mekong River Basin. The MRC is an international, intergovernmental organization committed to the sustainable development of water and related resources in the Mekong Basin. The MRC is looking for an outstanding international professional for the position of Chief Executive Officer of the MRC Secretariat in Vientiane, Lao PDR.
