News Financial Times special report on ‘Business and Water’

IBLF would like to draw your attention to the  forthcoming Financial Times report to be published on Thursday 22 March 2007,  to coincide with World Water Day. The synopsis outlines the issues to be addressed in the report: The Politics of Water; The  Business of Water; Water Conservation and Management; Water in the Country;  Water in the City; Pollution: the China Question; Sewage Treatment; Unlocking  the Sea; Hydroelectricity; Climate Change, etc..

Case studies are sought  from a heavy duty manufacturer, a water supplier and a specialist bottled  water producer, plus FT journalists will research features on innovative rural  projects, such as rainwater harvesting and purification and a review of water  usage in three major capitals: New York City, London and Beijing. The context  of the report will be the contribution of business to meeting the Millennium  Development Goals, including the target to reduce by half the proportion of  people without sustainable access to safe drinking water.

‘Business and  Water’ represents an excellent opportunity for all relevant stakeholders to  present their best practice examples to the FT readership. To capitalise on  the opportunity, we encourage you to submit case studies and ideas for content  under the relevant synopsis headings to the FT for consideration (email  direct: ftreports@ft.com). Given the fast-approaching publication date (Copy  date: Thursday 8 March 2007) we recommend you send submissions as soon as  possible.
