A new approach to international S&T cooperation in the EU's 7th Framework Programme (2007-2013)

The approach on international cooperation under FP7 is significantly different than under FP6. It aims at integrating international research collaboration throughout the Framework Programme and includes both geographical and thematic targeting. Three basic principles have been adopted in order to expand the international collaboration: Programming, Targeting, Partnership and dialogue.
