First FP7 Call for proposals
The Seventh Framework Programme for research and technological development (FP7) cleared its final hurdle on 18 December when it was adopted by the Council. The programme started officially on 1 January 2007. The decision was widely expected following an agreement on a common position between the Parliament and Council in November. The common position meant that the decision could be adopted by the Environment Council without discussion.
The Commission has published the first calls for the seventh Framework Programme (FP7). 42 calls for all the programs: Cooperation, Ideas, People and Capacities, as well as Euratom are issued. The total budget of these calls is around 4 billion euro. See official documents. This first list of calls for proposals has been published on December 22. A complete list is available online.
Cooperation calls include:
Environment (including Climate Change): Deadline for application: May 2, 2007.
Food, Agriculture, and Biotechnology: Deadline for application: May 2, 2007.
