News Bulgaria: Poor Water sanitation increases Hepatitis A spreads

New hepatitis A cases, averaging more than 80 a week in the past month, were reported in a Bulgaria neighborhood, where poor water sanitation and hygiene are aiding the disease's spread. New cases of the virus, which causes inflammation of the liver without chronic disease, have climbed 45 percent this year across the East European country, according to Eurosurveillance, an online journal of peer-reviewed information on communicable diseases.
