The dictionary contains almost 2,000 terms. Its main objective is to facilitate the exchange and transfer of knowledge between hydrologists, but also to promote the use of all national languages by providing equivalents that are little known in the technical domain. The dictionary consists of seven parts: a reference list, ordered according to the English alphabetical order, followed by six separate alphabetical lists in each languages.
