Water'09: Water Technologies Congress

The increasing water scarcity caused by excessive extraction, deteriorating water quality and climate change, among others, makes the efficient and sustainable use of water resources unavoidable.

Within this context, the availability of technologies that are safe for the ecosystems, efficient and aimed at increasing the available water resources and their sustainable consumption is essential.

Under the slogan “New Technologies for Sustainable Water Use”, the purpose of the Congress is to present and analyze water technologies, their state of art, the new challenges and, in short, their contribution to the sustainable use of water resources and the fight against climate change.

At the same time, this Congress aims to be an instrument of an exchange and transfer of knowledge and experience on integrated water resource management policies and strategies for anyone directly interested, planners and decision makers.

Therefore will cover water technologies in general, especially including the most recent new developments and technological advances, research projects and experiences related to advanced water technologies and the reuse of water as a resource as well as treatment technologies for wastewater, purified water and sewage sludge.

This Congress will be attended by numerous prestigious specialists and experts in water resource management, who will help make this event the most important date of the year for the transfer of knowledge in the water technologies field in Spain.
