Environmental capacity building training course

The course will focus on capacity building in environment-related issues in geo-mining and coastal zone management. In particular, it will cover:  sustainability of industrial processes; impact of industrial development on marine, environment and landscape; remote sensing techniques; image processing; decision support systems; geographic information systems; process simulation and optimisation; environment simulation and optimisation; and remediation technologies Eligibility.
The course is open to a limited number of participants from south Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Balkans countries and is aimed at university professors, decision makers, mid career technologists, professionals from public authorities and companies involved in the exploitation of non-renewable mineral resources and coastal zone management.
