Mediterranean Climate Change-Adaptation Metropolitan Initiatives

This seminar is organized by MedCities and the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB). It is part of the “Make a move for adaptation to climate change project”, in which MedCities is supporting Mersin Metropolitan Municipality to develop its Climate-Change Adaptation Action Plan (CCAAP) thanks to the support provided by the EU, and the Competencies and Policies for Urban and Metropolitan Sustainability in the Mediterranean project (COMPAS-MED) funded by the AMB. The primary objective is to foster discussions on lessons learnt and propose models and tools to promote metropolitan solutions to climate change adaptation challenges faced by Mediterranean cities and metropolises.

The seminar will include round table discussions on the challenges faced by Mediterranean Metropolises and the adaptation strategies implemented in their territories, as well as a detailed discussion on good practices.
