The third Iberian Conference on River Restoration, ‘RESTAURARIOS 2019’
The third Iberian Conference on River Restoration, ‘RESTAURARIOS 2019’ is organized by the Iberian Centre for River Restoration (CIREF) in coordination with the Segura River Authority, with the support of Project LIFE+RIPISILVANATURA, Wetlands International-European Association, the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition, and the cooperation of Calasparra City Hall.
Restaurarios 2019 will gather professionals working in management, research and river planning, experts in river restoration, naturalists, volunteers and almost anybody who shares an interest in the recovery of our rivers. Expected audience includes staff from River Basin Authorities, state and regional administrations, city halls, water agencies, consulting companies, universities, NGOs and all sorts of local, regional, national and international associations linked with water ecosystems, or participating in task forces on river conservation anywhere in the Iberian Peninsula or the rest of Europe. RESTAURARIOS 2019 will be the continuation of the first Conference held in Leon in 2011 and the second one held in Pamplona in 2015. They both had the aim of generating a meeting point and a forum of dissemination, and discussion among the varied organizations dealing with river restoration, in order to enhance networking and exchange of ideas.
The venue for the conference will be the Auditorium & congress centre ‘Victor Villegas’ (Murcia). Latest developments regarding organization can be found on the Conference’s website.
Key dates
Key dates for all participants are:
- December 5th 2018- January 31st 2019: Deadline for submission of abstracts for Communications (oral or poster).
- March 8th, 2019: Deadline for response on acceptance of communications. Opening of editing period by the authors.
- December 5th, 2018-March 17th, 2019: Early bird registration (reduced fees). At least one author per communication must be registered in order to include communications in official programme.
- April 5th, 2019: Deadline for reception of amended communications (oral or poster).
- June 12th-14th, 2019: 3rd Iberian Conference on River Restoration.
