Event SPANISH WEEK OF SCIENCE 2017 IN MADRID

Science Week in Madrid

Science Week in Madrid is one of Europe's most important scientific events. Its main objective is to make science and technology more accessible to the general public.

It actually takes place over two weeks, and will include over 500 activities in different cities, town and villages in the Region of Madrid: open days, film series, workshops, exhibitions, conferences, guided tours, excursions, etc. This programme aims to facilitate awareness among the general public of a wide variety of today's scientific issues, such as energy policy and the latest advances in astronomy, communications and robotics, for example. Around 200 organisations will take part in this informative festival, ranging from foundations and universities to museums, NGOs and research centres.

The Department of Scientific and Academic Cooperation of the French Embassy in Madrid has showed interest on demEAUmed project  which is an excellent example of the collaboration between France and Spain (among other countries). Water management in coastal tourist areas is a topic with strong qualitative and quantitative challenges. The prospect of developing it in circular requires many advantages on which it is important to communicate. The week of science 2017 in Spain focuses on ecotourism. For this occasion, demEAUmed project will be presented on November 28th 2017 at the Institut français de Madrid by ICRA and SEMIDE.
