Event Public session on the United Nations World Water Development Report 2017 ‘Wastewater: The Untapped Resource’

The MEP Water Group and the World Water Assessment Programme of UNESCO are co-organising a public session on the new United Nation World Water Development Report (WWDR) 2017 ‘Wastewater: The Untapped Resource’ on the 6th of June from 14h30 to 16h30pm at the European Parliament in Brussels.

The 2017 edition of this UN-Water flagship Report demonstrates how improved wastewater management generates social, environmental and economic benefits essential for sustainable development and is essential to achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. With the report as its departure point, the session will host a range of speakers who will address wastewater not only as a resource and a key component in the Circular Economy but also as an important job creator considering related innovations and R&D.
