CALL FOR APPLICATION: REGIONAL EXPERT SEMINAR ON WATER, CLIMATE CHANGES AND AGRICULTURE

June 23th – June 27th, 2014

Overview

The Regional Expert Seminar aims to bring together scientists, policy makers and practitioners at different levels of government, international organizations, and academic institutions to exchange and share their experiences and research results about aspects of water, climate changes and agriculture, and discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted.

Objective

Participants will gain profound knowledge on:

Sustainable water resources management approaches in response to climate changes in tropical agriculture
Climate changes and water security in tropical agriculture.

Topics

Climate changes and sustainable water management
Climate changes, food and water security
Wastewater management for agriculture
River basin management and water allocation

Seminar Organization

The seminar will consist of lectures, parallel presentation as well as an excursion. The seminar will take place at Bogor Agriculture University, Indonesia. The language of the workshop will be English.
