Event Second meeting of the global network of basins working on climate change adaptation

The second meeting of the global network of basins working on climate change adaptation will take place in Geneva on 13-14 February 2014. The agenda will be further developed depending on the input received from the basins. The working languages of the meeting will be English, French and Russian.

The second meeting of the global network, which is organized in the framework of the UNECE Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes (Water Convention) in cooperation with the International Network of Basin Organizations (INBO), will offer a platform for comparing methodologies and approaches, fostering exchange of experience and promoting a shared vision between the participating basins of the global network. The meeting’s objectives will also include discussing the preparation of the collection of good practices and lessons learned on climate change adaptation in transboundary basins and collecting specific input.

Participants from the basins in the network should complete the registration form below and transmit it by e-mail to the UNECE secretariat (sadaf.shamsie@unece.org) as soon as possible but not later than 3 February 2014.

Eligible participants from the participating basins from countries with economies in transition and developing countries may apply for financial support to facilitate their participation in the meeting. Requests for financial support should be submitted to the UNECE secretariat (sadaf.shamsie@unece.org) as soon as possible, but not later than 7 January 2014
