Event German Future Earth Summit 2014

The German Committee Future Earth is organizing a Future Earth Summit, which will be held from 27th to 28th of January 2014 in Berlin, Germany.

The summit will bring together scientists from different research fields to discuss and further develop Future Earth topics, and to bring forward the dialogue with stakeholders and research funders.

The committee invites suggestions for research ideas related to the three broad and integrated themes „Dynamic Planet“, „Global Development“ and „Transformation towards Sustainability“. All contributions will be discussed in the workshops and will be published in a book of abstracts.

Contributions:
For the German Future Earth Summit we invite to send ideas for Future Earth research topics (German or English language) related to the three broad and integrated themes „Dynamic Planet“, „Global Development“ and „Transformation towards Sustainability“ (see alsoFuture Earth draft report 2013). All contributions will be discussed in the workshops and will be published in a book of abstracts.

If you are interested in submitting a topic, please follow the questions of the submission form. Please note that contributions should not exceed 2 pages and should include the following:
• Description of the topic in relation to Future Earth.
• Description of possible interested German community and integration possibilities of natural sciences and social sciences.
• Description of international interests in the topic.
