The Developing Eight (D-8) Water Cooperation Meeting

Hosted by the Turkish Water Institute (SUEN), the D-8 Water Cooperation Meeting will continue on 21-22 February 2013 with Technical Meetings as before announced.

The D-8 Water Cooperation Meeting will be the first water-related gathering ever convened by the D-8 Organization. Coinciding with the 2013 UN International Year of Water Cooperation, the event will seek to enhance the collaboration on water-related issues and challenges among the D-8 Member countries, namely Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey.

The first two days of the meeting (21-22 February 2013) will involve technical meetings between high-level governmental officials from each member country. The outcomes of these meetings will provide inputs to the Ministerial Meeting on the third day (23 February 2013).

A Fair will also be organized during the Meeting, which will be open for the participation of private businesses related to water from each Member country.

However; “D-8 Water Cooperation Ministerial Meeting” on 23rd of February is CANCELED.
