TWAS-ARO 8th Annual Meeting
offered the opportunity to meet other young scientists, from different Arab
countries, to share their views and benefit from informal discussions with other
conference participants. They will also meet renowned scientists, and hear
success stories from those who have managed to combat difficulties.
Posters must be set up on the first day of the Meeting, and will remain
on display throughout the Meeting. Authors must be present at their poster
station during the scheduled poster session, and prepared for discussion with
participants.
Your poster should address subjects related to the Role of
Science, Engineering and Technology in Achieving Sustainable Human Development
in the Arab Region.
Application Criteria
The applicant
should be:
1. A young researcher, under the age of 40 years.
2. An Arab national citizen and resident of a developing country.
3. MSc or PhD student or post-doctoral researcher, working in the field of Sustainable Human Development.
The
participants' applications will be assessed by the Review Committee, and the
best10 posters will be displayed throughout the Meeting. TWAS-ARO will
cover the registration fees, travel expenses and accommodation costs of the
selected best 10 researchers by the Review Committee.
Deadline
for abstract submission: 15 October 2012.
Please
send your CV, a recommendation letter with referee's contacts, and complete the
Poster Session Application Form below electronically, save it in the format
SURNAME_Initial.doc (eg: SMITH_D.doc if the candidate's name is David SMITH),
and send it to Israa.Elfayoumi@bibalex.org, with a (cc) to TWAS.ARO@bibalex.org
by 15 October 2012 at the latest.
