WaterMed 2011

WATERMED is the fair and conference entirely dedicated to water technologies – industrial, wastewater and drinking water – in the Mediterranean area.

WaterMed 2011 is one of the most convincing events dedicated to the water industry. Last but not least, Italy has 7,500 km of coast on a vital resource, with considerable potential of development for large desalination plants (there are about 15,000 in 120 different countries at present, with a total production of about 30 billion litres of seawater desalinated per day). These plants enable to respond to a part of the needs for water for future years, avoiding the risk that water could become more and more a business and not a human right, as stated by the Universal Declaration of human rights.
