Event Water Leadership Short Course

The UNESCO Centre for Water Law, Policy and Science at the University of Dundee is offering a short course in leadership in the water sector, from 17-21 August inclusive, in Dundee, Scotland, UK.

Course Outline
• What is leadership? • Developing vision and strategy
• Building a High Performance Workforce • Managing change
• Developing your leadership philosophy
This leadership curriculum gives participants an overview
of the various leadership styles and skills, and hands-on
application of dierent leadership styles in dierent settings.
Delivered using a combination of lectures, group discussion
and situation-based exercises, this course enables participants
to clarify their personal leadership style, vision and mission,
and desired legacy goals.

Who is it for?
Professionals already working in the water sector, or looking to
move into that sector: for example
• Engineers
• Water resources or water services staff in central or local
government
• Utilities personnel
• Utilities regulators
• Environmental regulators
The course is appropriate to early career professionals, especially
those seeking to move into managerial positions.
