The 6th IWA Specialist Conference on Wastewater Reclamation and Reuse for Sustainability

This conference will provide an excellent environment to exchange experiences in water reuse from dry and wet climate areas, from industrialised and rural areas, from high and low income countries. Issues at the centre of debate will cover risk management, financing, water quality, use of high tech versus low tech, water reclamation in industry, sustainable irrigation practices using reclaimed water and water reclamation in urban water supply.

The conference themes are grouped into 3 main tracks:

- Rationale for sustainable water reuse, illustrating innovative approaches and concepts to water reuse (policy-related presentations)
- Advances in water reclamation techniques, featuring latest progress in water reclamation technology (science-related presentations)
- Implementation and operation of water reuse schemes, showcasing a wide range of global water reuse schemes that can be looked at as best practice (practice-related presentations)

The range of topics featured in the 35 presentation sessions, 3 poster sessions and 5 workshops include Governance, Guidelines, Conventional and Advanced Technology, Management, Public Consultation, Best Practice, Research Agendas as well as a range regional and institutional issues.

Many of the international leaders of a range of disciplines associated with water reclamation, reuse and recycling already confirmed their participation. Already 350+ experts registered to the conference, with a good representation from the Mediterranean area.
