Event Water Environment and Society Seminar Series - Water environment and society: What happens when you change the scale?

It is imperative that the research agenda relating to the environment is not purely science-driven but informed by both science and social science concerns. This may require the development of new theorisations, new concepts and new methods with which to explore the emerging scientific and socio-cultural research agenda.

With this in mind, the proposed series aims to,
• Broaden participants' understandings of the scientific and social aspects of novel 'scales' of research and build capacity in relation to an emerging research agenda
• Discuss key aspects of the research process across disciplines and develop new approaches to research which can balance scientific and social goals
• Generate a set of research questions to address the interests of both natural and social scientific inquiry on the environment and its management
• Develop a research agenda to underpin policy makers' and other agencies' needs.
