Towards an European Network of Water and Sanitation solidarity funds

Working Session linked to the conference “Europe for the water: tasks and solutions of the Water Framework Directive - XV Edition of the H2Objective 2000 Conference”, organized by FederUtility and Eureau (European Union of National Associations of Water Suppliers and Waste Water Services)

Objectives:
1. to facilitate the gathering of decentralised authorities, public utility companies, development cooperation actors;
2. to present conclusions agreeded by the w.g. and to develop a discussion on the issues;
3. to sign a Document of Intention among EUREAU, Federutility, UNDP, United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) and Network of Regional Governments 4 Sustainable Development (NRG4SD), which will commit themselves in developing solidarity funding mechanisms into the policies and strategies of their associates.
