CMU workshop on Water Management in the Mediterranean

The CMU is organizing in collaboration with the University of Valencia (prof. Vicente Andreu) the next council meeting to be held in Valencia next 18th May 2007. The application form completely filled in should be sent not later than the 2nd of next April to Prof. Andreu (University of Valencia).

On the basis of the proposal made during the last assembly in Izmir, it would like simultaneously to organize a workshop on “Water management in the Mediterranean” in which, so far, are participating as chairmen Prof. Mohamed El-Muntasser (Libya) and Prof. Ahmed Kettab (Algeria) and as speakers Dr. Jauad El Kharraz (EMWIS) and Prof. Jawad Wadi (Al Azhar University – Gaza).

The meeting of Valencia is organized as follows:

18th of May - from 15:00 through 19:00 Workshop on “Water Management in the Mediterranean”, chaired by Dr. Jauad El Kharraz and Dr. Mohammed Muntasser with the participation of: J. A. Sobrino; Mohiedddine Hadhri; Maria Serneguet i Belda; Javad Wadi; Eilon Adar.
19th of May (09:00 a.m.) – CMU Council Meeting with the following Agenda:

Communication of the President;
PESME Project;
Endemism Project: possible enlargement to other sectors and countries;
Archimed – MedMySea Project (Interreg III B);
Summer Course on “Impact of the Arabic and Islamic culture on the Mediterranean Area” proposed by Damascus University;
Workshop on “Thalassemia” or “Higher Education and Bologna Process: Impact within the Mediterranean” proposed by Damascus University;
Outcomes and considerations on the workshop: “Water Management in the Mediterranean”;
2006 Final Budget;
2007 Estimate Budget;
CMU adhesion to “Tarragona Declaration for the dialogue between Euro-Mediterranean Universities”;
