European Seminar on Integrated and Participative Management of Water
The Seminar organised by AQUAFIL project partly financed by the EC under the programme INTERREG IIIC, aims to: Show the level of intervention and the role played by local participants in integrated and participative management, such as it is defined in the European Water Framework Directive (WFD):
- Underline the very concrete aspect of local involvement, which leads to actual results and is not restricted to abstract debates
- Capitalize on local experience in the field of European cooperation projects in terms of integrated and participative management
- Analyse how local actions of integrated and participative management contribute to improve local governance
- Present to representatives of the European Commission the variety of local contributions towards the implementation of the WFD
- Highlight the potential cooperation between local, regional and national levels in order to implement the WFD
