International Symposium on the Advancement of Science in the Arab world and Role of International Cooperation - SRO4: Scientific Research Outlook Symposium

The Arab Science & Technology Foundation (ASTF) has announced the organisation of the "International Symposium" which is going to be held on the 12-13 of December during the SRO4 (Scientific Research Outlook Symposium) that is considered one of the largest biannual series that ASTF runs. SRO4 will be held in Damascus, Syria, biennial 11th-14th December 2006. The international symposium has the title of the Advancement of Science in the Arab world and Role of International Cooperation. It is going to bring the most refined and proactive scientific organizations, ministerial and educational representatives from all over the world to discuss issues related to this matter in order to create opportunities of dialogue among both worlds and to discuss future collaboration as well. The scientific areas of priority are: Energy and Water, Information and Communication Technology, Biotechnologies, New Materials. Some Special Sessions and Workshops include themes such as the session 7: "Water Desalination by Renewable Energy Sources". Deadline for submission of abstracts: November 2nd, 2006.
Note: Regional and international organizations may organize workshops to present their varied performance throughout the Arab World.
