It stands for a common European approach to meet the challenges of water-related&nbsp; <a href="http://www.un.org/millenniumgoals/" target="about_blank">Millennium Development Goals</a>.</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> Its fundamental objectives refer to: <ul> <li>Water supply and sanitation</li> <li>Integrated Water Resource Management</li> </ul> The Mediterranean Component (MED EUWI) is a regional component of the EUWI and shares its overall objectives.
