Practical information

For those arriving by plane to Florence, individual airport welcome are not planned; you will take a taxi to go directly to the hotel , or a shuttle bus « Vola in bus » to Santa Maria Novella central railway station. For the participants whose travels’ are covered by EMWIS, the price of it will be reimbursed to you with a justificative voucher (Approximative fare for the taxi 25 EUR and for the bus 4,50 EUR).

Florence airport is just 15/20 minutes from the hotel by taxi. The shuttle bus from the airport stops at the Santa Maria Novella central railway station which is 200 metres from the hotel. You will find a map attached

For those arriving by car, there is a garage at the hotel (The cost per day is between 30 and 40 EUR depending on the car size).

The EMWIS meetings will take place at Medici Riccardi Palace (Luca Giordano Room) that is offered by the Province of Firenze. It is at a very close walking distance from the hotel. We propose you to meet at the hotel lobby at 8h30 on Thursday and Friday.

An Official Dinner will take place on Thursday 2^nd December in a room of Casa Martelli museum offered by Polo Museale Fiorentini. If so, the person with you is also invited to join us. A guided visit of the museum (in English only) is planned at 20h00 for about 30 minutes. It will be followed by an aperitif around 20h30 and finally the dinner at 21h00. The timing is done for those not participating to the visit and arriving only for the aperitif or dinner. You will receive a map at the hotel when you arrive showing you where Casa Martelli is located.
