This catalogue of existing well monitored river-basins across Europe covering a wide range of environmental conditions is the result of a questionnaire (+ cover letter) which has been sent out to representative bodies in Europe with the aim to obtain an idea of the number of watersheds presently being studied in Europe, their characteristics and environmental problems being investigated, and the information available.
